South America

South America is a continent with 12 countries. It has kind people, sandy beaches, the Amazon rainforest and towering mountains. Churches there partner with Compassion to help the poorest kids in this region.

One big problem in South America is education. Some kids can't go to school because their parents can't afford uniforms and school supplies. Some kids work jobs instead of going to school so they can buy food and medicine.

Thanks to sponsors, churches in South American countries help kids stay in school. Sponsors help pay school costs. Kids go to Compassion centers, where they learn about Jesus' love, get help with homework, eat meals and get health checkups!
