To save space in their small house, Lelliane’s family hangs their clean dishes on a wall. Rain water seeps into the home, and the dirt floors get muddy. Lelliane’s mom sometimes worries that heavy rains will wash away their house, since it’s not made out of strong materials.

Lelliane washes dishes outside in pans of water, since her house doesn’t have running water. Because Lelliane’s dad does not make enough money to pay for the family’s food, home, clothes, school supplies and other needs, Compassion registered Lelliane in 2012. She receives food, medicine, lessons and games at her Compassion center. Lelliane has fun playing with friends and is even learning to play guitar and drums there!
