Make Your Decoder Ring:
- Adult help needed. Download and print the decoder ring below. Carefully cut out the purple, blue and yellow rings.
- Use a brad or paper clip to poke a hole through the middle of each ring and hold them together with the purple ring on the bottom, blue ring in the middle, and yellow ring on the top.
- Now you need the key! The key shows you how to uncover the secret message. It is an emoji and a letter like this: C.
- Turn the yellow ring to select the emoji and then turn the purple ring to line up the key letter. Once the key emoji and letter are lined up, don’t move the rings.
- To decode a message, find each letter on the purple ring and write down the blue letter under it!
