Do you like to talk to your friends, sing or use your outside voice when you play games outdoors? Well, your voice is a powerful gift from God! You can use your voice to tell people what you believe and to speak up for others. You can use your voice to change the world! Pretty cool, right? There are so many ways to make your message heard. You can inspire your friends with Bible verses and teach people about poverty. Plus, you can use this megaphone to make your voice even louder and mightier!
SUPPLIES
- 2 pieces of cardstock or poster board
- pencil
- scissors
- drawing supplies such as markers, colored pencils or oil pastels
- tape, hot glue or stapler
Step 1
Adult help needed. On a large square of cardstock paper or posterboard, use your pencil to lightly draw a fan shape.
Step 2
Cut out the fan shape.
Step 3
Decorate your megaphone with your drawing supplies. You can draw pictures, write Scriptures and tell interesting facts. Let your megaphone show your unique voice!
Step 4
Roll the paper into a cone shape and hold together the overlapping sides using tape, hot glue or a stapler.
Step 5
Take a small, rectangular strip of cardstock or poster board and fold the edges in. Then, tape, glue or staple the edges of the small paper onto your megaphone to make a handle.
Step 6
Now that you have your megaphone, it’s time to speak up for what you believe in!

Take action: Share a fact about poverty with one new person and explain how God wants us to care for those in need.
