God Hid a Clue About You in the Psalms

Have you ever read your Bible as if you’re a detective? God’s Word leaves us so many clues about who he is! It also tells us what he thinks about us.

For thousands of years, people have carefully read the Bible to uncover a great mystery in Psalm 139. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to read the passage out loud and discover it.

Here’s how you can uncover the life-changing truth:

  • Find a Bible.
  • Flip through the pages until you find the book of Psalms.
  • Find chapter 139. (The Bible’s books, chapters and verses are on the top of each page, like a special code to help you find God’s truths.)
  • Locate verses 13-18.
  • To make it extra mysterious, get a flashlight and crawl under a blanket or go into a dark room.
  • Read the passage out loud.

You just read one of the most famous psalms ever written! Believers all over the world like you have read these verses and uncovered a shocking truth: God made you unique and on purpose. There is no one else like you!

Just like God made you with your own set of fingerprints, he also made you with your own unique mission to fulfill on this earth. He thinks so highly of you! He has always loved you, and all his thoughts about you are good.

Imagine if everyone in the world knew this truth! Kids who live in poverty who face huge challenges are also loved by God like this. Knowing what God thinks about us changes everything.

The fact of God’s love for us doesn’t always match how we feel about ourselves. So if you ever feel discouraged, open your Bible to Psalm 139. It’s key evidence you need to experience God’s love.

If you ever have a friend or family member who needs encouragement, you can share these verses as proof of what they need to know — that God loves them.
